ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY-
The Annual Prize distribution ceremony was held on 10th April 2019. It was a day to honour the achievers of the school. The chief guest of the occasion was Shri P. K. RajaSekharan (GGM -NTPC Sipat).
AMBEDKAR JAYANTI -
Students participated in various competition –Speech, essay and drawing organized by NTPC to mark Ambedkar Jayanti on 12th April 2019. Students and teachers also participated in Sipat Walk to mark the occasion.
FIRE SAFETY WEEK CELEBRATION-
Students participated in the various competitions organized during the fire safety week by CISF-Fire wing on 16th April 2019. Essay and drawing competitions on fire safety and prevention were also held. Teachers and students witnessed the demonstration on fire safety measures and learnt to handle the fire safety equipment.
EARTH DAY CELEBRATION-
Students participated in Essay and Drawing competitions organized by NTPC to mark Earth Day on 19th April 2019.
CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN BY STAFF-
On 17th June 2019, staff members of the school carried out a cleanliness campaign in the school campus.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY-
International Yoga Day was celebrated along with NTPC in the Community Hall Savita Vihar. Under the guidance of Dr. Shalini Sarkar various Aasanas were practised and performed. Students and the teaching staff enthusiastically participated in the celebration of International Yoga Day.
FOUNDATION DAY-
13th Foundation Day was celebrated on 3rd July 2019.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Scholastic Book Fair was organized by the school from 5thAugust to7th August2019 to inculcate the reading habit among the students.
RAKHI CELEBRATION
Rakhi Making activity was conducted in the school on 8th August 2019 by the pre-primary section. Students participated in Rakhi making activities to mark the occasion.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
Investiture ceremony was held on 8th August 2019. The students’ council was elected in a democratic manner.INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Independence Day Celebrations began by unfurling of Tricolor. Students delivered speeches in English and Hindi on this occasion. There were Patriotic Group Dance and Group Song performances.
JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
Janmashtami was celebrated in the school on 23rd August 2019 by the Pre-Primary section. Students were traditionally dressed and different activities were held to mark the occasion.
CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN
On 21st August 2019, students and staff members of the school carried out a cleanliness campaign in the school campus.
FIT INDIA MOVEMENT
On 29th August 2019, students and staff members of the school witnessed the launch of Fit India Movement by our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narandra Modi. It aims to encourage people to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives.
TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION
The school students celebrated this occasion by paying reverence to their teachers. The school programme began with a pleasant morning assembly and classes being conducted by student teachers. Students showed their enthusiasm and love by presenting melodious songs, dances and games for the teachers. NTPC Sipat CGM Shri. P.K.RajShekaran and other dignitaries were also present on the occassion to honour the teachers.
HINDI ‘PAKHWADA’
Students from Primary to Class XII participated in various competitions like Hindi Poetry Recitation, Patriotic Song , Fancy Dress and Doha Vachan Competition as part of Hindi ‘Pakhwada’ organized by NTPC from 1st September to 14th September 2019.
NO PLASTIC CAMPAIGN
On 27th September students and staff members of the school participated in ‘No Plastic’ Campaign organized by NTPC in Kaudia village.
RUN FOR UNITY
Around 200 Students participated in Run for Unity organized by NTPC and BBPS on 31st October to mark the Birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
SPICMACAY PROGRAMME
Chhau dance was performed by the dance group from Purulia under SPICMACAY on 2nd October.
DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION
Dussehra was celebrated by the students with great enthusiasm. They were made aware of the spirit of the festival through various activities. The effigy of Ravana was prepared by the students and displayed but not burnt due to environmental concerns.
VIGILANCE WEEK
Students from classes VI to XII participated in poster making and essay writing competition as part of vigilance week organized by NTPC on 31st October.
DIYA AND RANGOLI MAKING
Diwali was celebrated by the students of Pre- primary with great enthusiasm. They made attractive Rangolis and Diyas to mark the occasion.
ANNUAL FUNCTION
School celebrated its 13th Annual Day on 14th November. The cultural eve was presided over by Mr Padmakumar Rajasekharan (CGM, NTPC-Sipat) as the Chief Guest along with Mrs Kamala Padmakumar (President, Sangwari Mahila Samiti, NTPC-Sipat) as the Guest of honour. The theme of the day was Navras-Emotions of life.
FITNESS WEEK CELEBRATION - Students from classes I to IX and class XI participated in free hands exercise, yoga, sports quiz, aerobics, poster making and essay writing competitions as part of ‘Fitness Week Celebration’ from 18th to 23rd November. It was aimed to encourage students to participate in physical and sports activities.
